The town of Sciacca

The town of Sciacca is located on the southwestern coast of Sicily, between the magnificent archaeological complexes of Agrigento, Selinunte, Eraclea Minoa and Segesta.
The sea and the coast are surely two of the major attractions of Sciacca: you can swim in the clear waters, or surfing, canoeing, boat, and all kinds of water sports.
Sciacca is also a spa town: It’s fame in modern times is due, to the fact, of its famous hydro thermal mineral natural caves and its natural saunas of Monte S. Calogero. Since the mid-1800s, the city had discovered its vocation for spa tourism and that is a feature that is now known worldwide as "the city of spas".

Also its fascinating events tied to ancient traditions, such as the Carnival for more than a century gives a special charm, invoking the presence of about two hundred thousand people between foreigners and tourists every year.
